Kenya Trip - August 2007

This has now happened and the team have been debriefed to find out what, if any, improvements can be made for the next trip, currently scheduled for Summer 2009.

Baraimu Update - Autumn 2006

John and Faith Nyota have been three years in the Wimbledon Circuit. They were planted there by the World Church Organisation and one of the conditions was that they take a three month furlough after three years. So they set out for Kenya this Summer. John went out from June to August. Faith joined him with the children in July and whilst John bought the children home at the end of August, Faith stayed on during September.

Whilst there, they were able to progress the construction of the school and saw it with its roof on. John took some photos and the links to these photos is shown on the right.

The Midsummer Charity Concert

This raised £638.00 for the "Toto Simba" project. Some monies were donated and Gift Aided so we shall benefit by another £91.56 pounds when the taxman eventually pays up. This will bring a grand total of £729.56. Well done everyone and many, many thanks to the artistes, audience, front of house and backroom boys, in fact all who made a thoroughly enjoyable evening possible.

Kenya Trip - August 2005

Everyone who went found it a very emotional experience and something which they would not have missed for the world. The villagers in Kenya, although not having very much of their own, were generous to a fault. There's many a lesson to be learnt by all of us. Photos and a diary are available via the link in the right handside column.
